WELCOME to ‘LOVELY STUFF FROM AROUND THE WORLD’
As our name suggests, we source and offer to you, the unusual, the beautiful and the exotic. We are wholesalers and sourcing agents of fairly traded craft and design goods from South Africa and the surrounding countries. We are also the official distributors of Kenana Knitters products in Southern Africa. Kenana Knitters is a self-supporting knitting co-operative in Kenya.
Beginning with South Africa, my home country, our products are almost all hand-crafted with fair trade as criterion of our choices. They’re produced by individuals, groups, companies and organizations who all, in their own way, create employment and aim to educate and empower their craftsmen and women. These are work environments that allow crafters to develop their creativity and skills while making a living in these economically challenging times. Our aim is to be the voice for these artisans and organizations who don't have access to international markets.
We have a great range of goods from recycled items, hand woven bags and toys for children. Our selection of products have been personally chosen and are items we think are "lovely" and we are constantly introducing new products. We wish to bring some of the more unusual and interesting design and craft products that are being made in South Africa to retailers across the globe.
Kenana Knitters are based in Njoro, Kenya and produce a wide range of hand knitted stuffed animals in fun designs and characters. Kenana Knitters began as a way to help the rural women of Njoro earn some much needed income. This range consists of a selection of soft knitted stuffed animal toys that are made out of homespun wool that is sourced from another artisan group in Kenya. The wool is dyed using plant dyes from their gardens and made into these delightful animals.

In time, we plan to extend into the rest of Africa, then to the East and in time, the whole world! – as we expand our ever growing, ever changing offering of “LOVELY STUFF from AROUND THE WORLD!
